Nothing invented

The rewrite can only use what is already in your resume. We then check the output against your original automatically and tell you if anything unsupported appears — including in our own work.

Job ads sometimes carry hidden text or instructions aimed at AI readers. We scan for that before rewriting anything, and show you what we found.

Why this exists

A higher score is worthless if you can't defend it in the room.

Plenty of tools will pad a resume with keywords until it matches. That gets you into a screening call you then fail. This rewrites what you have — better ordered, better worded, in the posting's own vocabulary — and tells you plainly where you fall short so you can decide whether the role is worth applying for.

Method

How the rewrite works

Step one

Both documents are parsed

Your resume is broken into contact details, roles with dates, education, skills and certifications. The posting is split into must-have requirements and preferences — because a missing must-have ends an application regardless of how well everything else scores.

Step two

The posting is checked for manipulation

A job description is text from a stranger being fed to an AI. Some contain instructions aimed at that AI, or keywords hidden in white-on-white text and zero-width characters that a human pasting never sees. We strip what is safe to strip, report the rest, and treat the whole posting as reference data rather than as instructions.

Step three

The rewrite — bounded by evidence

Reword real experience in the posting's vocabulary. Name the category for a tool you used where the relationship is definitional — Jenkins pipelines really are CI/CD. Surface things buried in an old role. Lead with outcomes you already achieved. What it will not do: add a technology you have not used, upgrade a certification level, inflate a number, or pad.

Step four

The result is checked against your original

Instructions alone are not a guarantee — a model pushed to raise a score has every reason to drift. So every technology name, certification, metric and year count in the rewrite is compared mechanically against your original. Anything that cannot be traced is shown to you, named, in the report. If our own rewrite oversteps, you will be the first to know.

The honest part

A small gain is the normal outcome

If your resume already describes your experience well, the score will not move much, and we will say so rather than manufacture a jump. Large gains usually mean the original was burying real work — or that something was invented, which is exactly what the check above is for.
